⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I arrived at Gailey's Breakfast Cafe a hungry, hollow shell of a person — skipped breakfast, big mistake, 0/10 would not recommend. But Gailey's? They saw my suffering and answered the call. The atmosphere is relaxed and cozy, which is exactly what you want when you're trying to impress a new business contact while also desperately trying not to inhale your food like a golden retriever. I maintained my composure. Barely. Our server Tomas was friendly, efficient, and somehow always appeared at exactly the right moment — like a food-delivery guardian angel who also refills your coffee without being asked. A true professional. Give that man a raise. The food was fantastic. I can't be more specific because I was so hungry I entered a fugue state of pure enjoyment somewhere between the first and second bite. And then — THEN — the best moment of the entire meal: my new friend picked up the check. Just like that. A great atmosphere, great food, great service, AND someone else paid for it? Gailey's didn't just feed me. They gave me one of the greatest lunches of my life. Five stars, no notes, will absolutely be back. Hopefully with the same friend.

I got the BarHug. The food was good not the best I have had. I wish the gravy had a little more flavor and more sausage. Regardless the item that made this review 5 stars was the hot chocolate. It was the best I have ever had at a restaurant and would go back just for that!! The service was also great and very clean.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Gailey's, and I can honestly say we absolutely loved this place! Our server, Shell, was fantastic. She made us feel right at home from the moment we walked in, which really made our experience special. Now, let's talk about the food. I highly recommend trying the skillet—it was delicious! And the French toast? Simply heavenly. Both dishes made for a perfect breakfast feast. The atmosphere of Gailey's is another highlight. It has this wonderful vibe that really feels like you’ve escaped the hustle and bustle of Springfield, which is such a nice touch for a laid-back morning. If you’re looking to treat yourself, definitely take a morning to spoil yourself at Gailey’s. You won’t regret it! And for more about our breakfast adventure, check out RV Plus 10™️ on FTVN distributed by ROKU. Trust me, it’s worth it!

Gailey’s Breakfast Café on E Walnut Street is everything a great breakfast spot should be. Warm, welcoming, and full of character, it serves consistently excellent breakfast plates paired with really good coffee. The music sets the mood perfectly, making it a place where mornings feel unhurried and comfortable. A true Springfield classic that gets the basics absolutely right and keeps you coming back! Been here many times but every time it feels different.

First time trying Gailey’s and was really impressed! The service was great and the food was fantastic! We got seated right away and served real quick. Food came out hot and fresh as well we didn’t have to wait long! Can’t say that will be the case for all since we got there early. It’s a little hipsters-ish but nothing wrong with that. If you’re looking for fancy, better look someplace else but I had a wonderful experience! If you want good food and great service, try this place out yourself! But we will be back again!

I stopped into Gailey's right when they opened at 7:00 a.m., and the service impressed me immediately. I was seated right away with a glass of ice-cold water, and my coffee arrived less than 30 seconds after I asked for it. I ordered the biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon, and-no exaggeration- about 30 seconds later a piping-hot plate was in front of me. This might be the quickest service I've ever had at a sit-down restaurant. The food didn't disappoint either. The gravy was flavorful, the biscuits were flaky with a subtle lemony note that really elevated the dish, and the bacon was a perfect complement. Overall, a fantastic breakfast experience with unbelievably fast and friendly service.

Great place for breakfast. Extensive menu and good portions. Pricing very reasonable. I've gone the last two days and have been pleased in both instances. Had the El Jefe (pictured) first day and the Soutwestern Omelet the second. Both were nice and spicy.

My partner and I went on a Sunday afternoon when they were pretty busy but we didn't have to wait to be seated. Our service was great and they easily accommodated my dietary restrictions and answered any questions I had. There was about a 20 minute wait to get our food, but they were busy and we expected that. It also gave us time to relax, chat, and enjoy the atmosphere. Everything was clean and the food was good.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
